Canadians Split on Abolition of the Gun Registry

According to Senior Vice-President Doug Anderson “For the most part, Canadians are not convinced that the Gun Registry has contributed to a safer world. With that view, it stands to reason that there is some ambivalence over its abolition. The exception is in Quebec, where support for gun control remains higher. Outside of Quebec, it is hard to see this as a move that will be a powerful political weapon for opposition parties.”
